Youth Soccer FAQ
What do I need for practice?
You need a size 3 soccer ball, shin guards, and a drink.
Do I register for spring soccer if I played in the fall?
No. You pay in the fall for the whole year of soccer - fall
and spring.
My child is playing for the first time in the spring
and would like to play again in the fall. Do I have to re-register?
Yes. Spring registration is for the second half of a “year.”
The soccer year begins in the fall and ends in the spring.
What is the “U” in the age groupings?
The “U” stands for “under,” as in
“under the specified age.” Thus, the U7-8 boys/girls
league is open to boys and girls under the age of 7, and not
older than 8.
Is soccer practice ever cancelled due to bad weather?
Yes. Though we make every effort to hold practices as scheduled,
sometimes we must cancel sessions due to weather. Cancellations
will be posted to the website as soon as they are known.
We registered but can’t make the rest of the season.
Can we get a refund?
We regret that we are unable to give refunds.
Can I come to practice? Can I stay? Do I have to stay?
Parents, family members and friends are always welcome at
practice. The kids love to show off and are always proud to
have you watch them. On the other hand, we recognize that
sometimes it’s not always possible or practical for
you to attend every session. You can leave your child at practice
and return to pick him or her up at the end of practice.
What time does clinic start?
Spring 2008 clinics start at 8:30 a.m. SHARP and run until
9:30 a.m. Please arrive 15 minutes before clinic starts to
give your child a chance to acclimate, say hi to friends,
and get ready. Kids usually find it stressful to be late to
soccer, and it’s something they look forward to every
week.
Do you know anything about soccer summer camps?
In fact, we do. See our links
page for more information.
How come my kid’s picture isn’t on the website?
Our website designers and photographers are volunteers who
would be happy to put your child’s photo on the website.
Please email your photos
along with your child’s name, your name, and a signed
photo permission form. We are excited to develop the photo
gallery and look forward to your photos.
Is my kid going to get as filthy as the kid on this page?
Probably. Good luck with that.
