U5 - preschool - grey shirts
U6 - kindergarten & 1st grade - green shirts
U7/U8 - Up to second grade - white shirts
INTRAMURAL (Pre-Travel; Games against
Swampscott)
U9 - third grade
TRAVEL: (Boys and
Girls, Competitive games against towns anywhere in Essex
County)
U10 - 4th grade
U12 - 5th and 6th grade
U14 - 7th and 8th grade
After U14, players can then join their high school soccer
team.
U16 - Spring season only because high school
soccer takes place only in the Fall
Registration for Travel Soccer takes place
through Swampscott
Soccer's website. In partnership with Swampscott Soccer,
Nahant soccer players at this level compete in the Essex
County Youth Soccer Association (ECYSA) league. Usually
there are not enough Nahant children to form our own team,
so we partner with Swampscott to give our children a chance
to continue developing their skills and play competitively
until high school.
When your child is age-appropriate for travel,
you should receive an email or a phone call from the Nahant
Intramural Director informing you of the logistics for this
program. This assumes that your child has played up through
the intramural level and we have your contact information.
If your child has NOT played intramural soccer and wants
to move forward at the Travel Level, please contact the
intramural director to get your name on our list BY THE
BEGINNING OF APRIL - TRYOUTS FOR TRAVEL SOCCER TYPICALLY
TAKE PLACE IN THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF JUNE FOR THE FOLLOWING
FALL and Spring season.
